Global Threat Information Collaboration
Empowering Sovereign Countries To Defend Their Digital Economies & Critical Infrastructure (CI)
Mission and Vision
Mission
CI-ISAC International has a clear two-pronged mission:
1. To provide all countries, free of charge, with the core organisational model and intellectual property required to establish and operate their own sovereign, not-for-profit, cross-sector integrated cyber information sharing and analysis centre (ISAC) and community to sustainably and effectively defend each country’s own digital economy and Critical Infrastructure (CI)
2. Recognising that cyber threats are global, CI-ISAC International will establish and operate a new transparent global federated data-sharing model (governance and technical systems) for cyber threat information (CTI) sharing between these new private sector CI hubs within sovereign countries. The model treats all countries as equal stakeholders in both the governance and oversight of the model and technical CTI sharing systems. This approach aims to maximise trust and improve sharing to prevent incidents. Originally proposed by the World Economic Forum for the health sector in a July 2019 whitepaper, the model has now been operationalised to address existing challenges in CTI sharing. It seeks to overcome the current barriers that prevent the necessary volume and quality of CTI sharing between countries.
Vision
Major Trends in Cybersecurity
In today’s rapidly changing world, several macro ‘tectonic’ shifts are impacting cybersecurity

Geopolitical
Shifts
The global balance of power is shifting, impacting international relations and cybersecurity dynamics. Countries are forming new alliances and confronting evolving adversaries, creating complex cybersecurity challenges.

Economic
Shifts

Sovereign Data & Technology
Nations are prioritising technological independence to safeguard their cyber infrastructure’s national security.

Third Party & Supply Chain Threats
Proven in Australia, Ready for the World
CI-ISAC Australia has successfully validated the effectiveness of a new federated data-sharing model. As a not-for-profit with no government funding, CI-ISAC Australia has grown to over 110 members in just 18 months. It consistently delivers faster cyber threat and vulnerability reports. Australia’s legal framework under the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act, combined with this success, demonstrates that the CI-ISAC model works—and can be replicated globally to strengthen cyber defences resilience both within and across nations.
